China’s stainless steel output up by 8% in 2014

According to the Stainless Steel Council of the China Special Steel Enterprises Assn (CSSC), China’s stainless steel output increased by 8.39% to 23.55 million tons in 2014 compared from the previous year.

The fifty stainless steel mills produced 11.2 million tons of 300-series stainless steel, increasing by 3.04% from the last year. Output of 400-series stainless steel totaled 4.41 million tons, rising by 19.15% year on year.

Besides, the country’s output of 200-series stainless steel reached 7.95 million tons, up by 10.27% on the yearly basis.
